IC of Canada Philanthropy

Exciting News!! Phil Cox, an IC Canada board member, has spearheaded a tennis philanthropy program in Rwanda. Accompanied by a team of tennis pros and leaders from the USIC, Phil and his team carried more than 1,000 lbs of donated tennis equipment – racquets, balls, nets, stringing machines, shoes, training accessories, etc. Joseline Umulisa, a Fed Cup player for Rwanda and a highly-qualified tennis coach in the country’s capital, Kigali, was asked to lead the project.

This program has evolved to become, Tennis Rwanda Children’s Foundation (TRCF). With Joseline’s support, TRCF identified and trained several local coaches to help expand the TRCF program to various low-income Districts in Rwanda.
