IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge - Bahamas '22

Team Canada is back from competing at the 2022 IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge North American Regionals in Nassau, Bahamas. Our team, consisting of U16s Edward Stan, Emma Tutoveanu, Gian Octa, and Alec Anghel (L-R in group picture) faced other top juniors from the US and Bahamas ICs in a three day round robin to compete for a spot at next year’s World Finals. Following victories against two tough Bahamas Blue and Red teams, we fell against a formidable US contingent 4-1 with two matches coming down to third set tiebreakers. Nevertheless it was a great experience with new friendships in continuing the indomitable spirit of the IC. Thanks to Bahamas IC President Kit Spencer and Tournament Director Mickey Williams for leading the event. We look forward to competing again in 2024!
